Our Farm
Experience Nature Up Close
Deeply rooted in Dorf Tirol, the history of the Tritscherhof dates back to the 13th century. In those days, the farm was mainly dedicated to livestock and grain cultivation. Surrounding the farm were pastures where the cows grazed.
Since 1970, the Tritscherhof has also welcomed guests, and alongside livestock farming, apple cultivation has become an important part of our work. Wine has always been produced for our own use, but since 2011, young farmer Andreas has been cultivating wine for our guests as well – Vernatsch, Pinot Blanc, and Pinot Noir.
Apple Cultivation at the Tritscherhof
Twenty years ago, the focus was primarily on Golden and Red Delicious apples.
Today, we have expanded our selection to include crisp and juicy club varieties such as Envy, Cosmic Crisp, and Kanzi.
Andreas is always happy to answer any questions about the farm and to give you insights into the world of fruit growing.

Animals at the Tritscherhof
A variety of animals live on our farm and look forward to a little affection from our guests. Alongside three affectionate cats, our gentle dog Cami, as well as rabbits and chickens, call the farm home – much to the delight of our younger visitors.

Our Contribution to the Environment
Sustainable energy, environmental protection, and regionality are important to us. That’s why the heating at the Hotel Tritscherhof is CO₂-neutral. Our Heizomat woodchip heating system provides energy for heating and hot water throughout the entire property. The wood comes directly from our own forest. (In 2023, our heating system was completely renewed and improved.)
